Jonathan Robbins is a contemporary American artist. His work consists of intense drawings and paintings that are often infused with figures, images, symbols and animals that are pulled from classic historical iconography. His large-scale mixed media works blend charcoal and paint to convey a sense of dichotomy between reality and allusion and often invoke themes of self-reflection and longing. Jonathan lives and works in New York and New Jersey. He received his BFA in Fine Arts from Syracuse University School of Visual and Performing Arts. He has shown in solo exhibitions and artist collectives across the United States.
